Mason Public Schools Calendar 2026-2027

Mason Public Schools begins with an unusually unified early-years structure. James C. Harvey Education Center houses preschool and early-childhood programs and serves all district kindergarten students. Children then move into neighborhood elementary schools before rejoining at Mason Middle School and Mason High School.

That arrangement creates a districtwide starting point before students separate into smaller elementary communities. Families encounter one shared kindergarten culture, a neighborhood phase during the later elementary years, and then a second convergence at middle school.

The Mason Promise adds a targeted college-access route rather than another school. Selected students begin mentoring near the end of middle school and can receive support toward two years at Lansing Community College. Participation depends on program selection and continued requirements; it is not an automatic benefit attached to every Mason diploma. Mason's defining pattern is repeated convergence: a common early start, several elementary communities, and one middle- and high-school pathway. The Promise then gives a limited group a structured bridge from that local sequence into college.
