Holt Public Schools Calendar 2026-2027

Holt Public Schools serves a broad community through an early-learning center, five elementary schools, and two separate middle-grade campuses. Midway Early Learning Center begins the district relationship before the elementary years. Dimondale, Elliott, Horizon, Sycamore, and Wilcox then feed Washington Woods Middle School for grades 5–6, Holt Junior High School for grades 7–8, and Holt High School.

The two middle-grade stages allow students to join a larger district in steps. Washington Woods focuses on the first transition out of elementary school, while the junior high introduces the greater independence and course movement expected before high school. By grade 9, students from several communities have already spent four years forming one districtwide cohort.

Holt Early College extends the secondary plan through grades 11–13. In partnership with postsecondary institutions such as Lansing Community College and Davenport University, eligible students can complete high-school requirements while building college credit, with the district covering defined tuition, fee, and book costs. The route adds a thirteenth year and a college-campus component without separating students from the district’s graduation system.

Holt combines staged convergence with an optional extended finish. Families can follow the regular elementary–middle–junior-high–high sequence, then decide whether an early-college plan fits the student’s readiness and long-term goals.
