Public Schools of Petoskey Calendar 2026-2027

Public Schools of Petoskey has a compact local sequence. Central, Lincoln, Ottawa, and Sheridan elementary schools feed Petoskey Middle School and Petoskey High School, creating one districtwide secondary community after the neighborhood elementary years.

Petoskey Polaris adds a smaller alternative high-school environment inside the broader Petoskey High system. Polaris students remain full-time Petoskey High School students and work under the same diploma structure, but the program uses conditional enrollment, individualized goals, flexible scheduling, and a more structured support model to help students progress toward graduation.

Because Polaris is a program connected to Petoskey High rather than a separate attendance-area school, students may still use selected PHS courses and activities as their plans allow. College, dual-enrollment, and regional career options further extend the comprehensive high-school experience. Petoskey is therefore easy to understand geographically: four elementary schools lead to one middle and one high school. The key secondary distinction is between the ordinary PHS timetable and the smaller Polaris completion environment.
