Berrien Springs Public Schools Calendar 2026-2027

Berrien Springs Public Schools presents itself as a “district of choices,” and its organization gives that phrase concrete meaning. Traditional elementary, middle, and high-school campuses form the local foundation, while several named branches provide alternative, virtual, home-education, college-linked, and career-oriented routes.

Berrien Springs Discovery Academy is a grades 9–12 nontraditional alternative program. It combines flexible and personalized learning with online or blended coursework, career and technical education, dual enrollment, and individualized graduation planning. The smaller setting is designed for students who need a different pace or structure while continuing toward a diploma.

Berrien Springs Virtual Academy serves grades 6–12 through a full-time online format with public-school support, accountability, and access to college and career exploration. The Parent Partnership serves a different audience: families educating children at home can use elective and enrichment opportunities without converting the student’s entire education into a conventional full-day school schedule.

Traditional students can also combine district coursework with early or middle college, technical education, and other off-site partnerships. Berrien Springs is therefore defined by the number of ways a public-school relationship can be assembled. Families may use a conventional campus sequence, an alternative high-school setting, a full-time virtual school, a home-education partnership, or a college- and career-linked combination, depending on eligibility and fit.
