Saginaw Township Community Schools Calendar 2026-2027

Saginaw Township Community Schools uses two elementary organizations at once. Most neighborhood students move through lower-elementary and upper-elementary grade centers before entering White Pine Middle School and Heritage High School. Hemmeter Elementary follows a different K–5 structure as the district's gifted-and-talented magnet.

The difference matters before middle school. Families in the ordinary route experience an additional elementary transition as children move from a younger-grade campus to an upper-elementary campus. Hemmeter students remain in one K–5 specialty setting, subject to the magnet's placement rules, and then join the shared secondary sequence.

Heritage High is the principal comprehensive high school, while Mackinaw High School provides a smaller alternative route with flexible scheduling and accelerated completion possibilities. Mackinaw is not a second attendance-area high school; students enter through a different enrollment relationship.

The district is easiest to understand as a grade-center neighborhood system with two defined branches: a K–5 gifted magnet at the elementary level and a flexible diploma setting at the high-school level.
