Saginaw Public Schools Calendar 2026-2027

Saginaw Public Schools now operates around Saginaw United High School as the principal comprehensive high-school hub, while neighborhood elementary and middle schools provide local access. The districtwide portfolio also includes specialty campuses whose admission and daily relationship differ from ordinary address assignment.

Specialized study begins in elementary school. Handley Elementary provides a gifted-and-talented setting, while Loomis MST Academy emphasizes mathematics, science, and technology. Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy extends selective gifted, science, visual-arts, and performing-arts study through grades 6–12. Entry to Handley and SASA involves program-specific testing or application rather than a standard feeder route.

Saginaw Career Complex is a shared career and technical center, not another attendance-area high school. Students can use its specialized laboratories and career programs while retaining a separate home-school identity. Success Academy preserves a smaller secondary environment for students who need a different route through the district.

Saginaw therefore combines one citywide comprehensive high-school identity with several distinct entry points and support structures. Neighborhood enrollment, gifted placement, shared-time CTE, and alternative secondary programming each follow their own rules.
