Lowell Area Schools Calendar 2026-2027

Lowell Area Schools serves a broad rural-suburban area through four elementary schools that converge at one middle school and one comprehensive high school. The single secondary route brings students from several communities together and concentrates the district's academic, arts, athletic, and extracurricular resources.

Unity High School protects a smaller, personalized completion route for students who need a different environment from Lowell High School. It is an alternative high-school setting with its own support structure, not a second attendance-area comprehensive campus.

The Wittenbach/Wege Agriscience and Environmental Education Center adds a shared learning place rather than another feeder school. Students use its land, facilities, and community partnerships for environmental science, agriculture, outdoor inquiry, and place-based projects across grade levels. Lowell's identity comes from one common secondary community supported by two specialized functions: Unity changes the high-school environment for some students, while Wittenbach/Wege expands where and how the wider district can learn.
