About Northview Public Schools
Northview Public Schools moves students through a staged districtwide sequence. Three elementary schools feed Highlands Middle School for grades 5–6, Crossroads Middle School for grades 7–8, and Northview High School. The two middle-grade campuses let students increase independence in steps before reaching the comprehensive high school.
Field School overlays that sequence with multi-age outdoor classrooms distributed across district campuses. Core subjects are linked to local environments, stewardship, and project work, giving participating students a setting that feels different from a conventional grade-level classroom.
Northview Next addresses older students through two separate services. The Learning Center offers a flexible diploma path for ages 15–20, including schedules outside the standard day. The Career Center organizes applied pathways that connect coursework with work and postsecondary planning.
Northview’s ordinary route is highly predictable, but these branches alter the experience at different points: Field School changes the instructional setting, while Northview Next changes how secondary study is organized. Participation and placement are handled separately from neighborhood assignment.
