Jackson Public Schools Calendar 2026-2027

Jackson Public Schools combines neighborhood schools with citywide specialty and alternative settings. Several elementary campuses provide local access, while the JPS Montessori Center offers a distinct instructional model. Middle School at Parkside brings the district together for the middle grades, and Jackson High School serves as the principal comprehensive secondary campus.

Jackson Pathways operates as a school-within-a-school at the Wildwood campus. It provides a nontraditional high-school environment with smaller relationships, flexible pacing, individualized planning, and support for students who need a different route to a Jackson diploma. Because it shares a broader campus setting, Pathways can preserve access to district resources without reproducing the full comprehensive schedule.

South Central Michigan Virtual represents another delivery branch in the district’s official school inventory. Online study changes where and how coursework is completed, while Pathways changes the in-person environment and support model.
