Grand Ledge Public Schools Calendar 2026-2027

Grand Ledge Public Schools uses a four-step sequence that brings students together gradually. Four K–4 elementary schools feed Hayes Intermediate School for grades 5–6, then Beagle Middle School for grades 7–8, and finally Grand Ledge High School. Hayes is the first districtwide gathering point, while Beagle introduces the broader timetable and independence of the later middle grades.

Students in grades 7–12 can also use the district’s Distance Learning Program. Grand Ledge teachers deliver live online classes each day, so students can change the learning setting while retaining district enrollment and regular contact with local staff. This is a full program structure, separate from adding an individual virtual course to a Grand Ledge High schedule.

The Dave & Betty Morris School for Agricultural and Natural Science adds a place-based specialty route centered on agriculture and natural systems. Morris is growing toward a K–12 span, so families encounter it as an expanding specialty school rather than another stage in the default sequence.

The ordinary route remains predictable, while the two specialty branches serve different purposes: live online secondary study and an expanding school organized around agricultural and environmental learning. Both widen the district without replacing its age-based campus sequence.
