Utica Community Schools Calendar 2027-2028

Utica Community Schools is a large neighborhood system whose secondary students ultimately enter Eisenhower, Henry Ford II, Stevenson, or Utica High School. The four comprehensive high schools preserve distinct community routes, while district centers and academies allow students to cross those boundaries for specialized study.

Gene L. Klida Utica Academy for International Studies is a full-day International Baccalaureate school with its own application process. The Utica Center for Mathematics, Science and Technology and the Center for Science and Industry operate differently: students attend specialized half-day sessions while keeping a home-high-school identity. School-based academies such as MADE and Health and Human Services add still other formats.

The Utica Alternative Learning Center provides a separate completion environment, and UCS Virtual Academy offers an online secondary route. These programs address setting and delivery rather than the same academic purpose as the district's selective specialty centers.

Utica's scale makes program names especially important. A full-time specialty school, a shared-time center, an academy inside a comprehensive high school, an alternative setting, and a virtual school can all appear in one district while following very different schedules and admissions rules.
