Southgate Community Schools Calendar 2026-2027

Southgate Community Schools has a compact neighborhood base of five elementary schools, followed by Davidson Middle School and Anderson High School. North Pointe IB Elementary introduces an international framework early, while Davidson Middle Academy creates a separate grades 6–8 IB-oriented route alongside the ordinary middle-school program.

The academy is an extension of Davidson Middle rather than a second attendance-area middle school. Families enter through a distinct interest and enrollment process, and the program is designed to carry an IB-style learning environment into the middle grades before students join the district's high-school system.

High-school completion is distributed across several formats. Anderson High is the comprehensive campus; Asher Alternative High School provides a smaller setting; Atlas Online Learning changes delivery; and the Early Middle College partnership extends study into a fifth year leading toward an associate degree.

Southgate's choices appear at different points and for different reasons. The IB elementary and middle routes change instructional framework, while Asher, Atlas, and Early Middle College change the setting, format, or length of high-school completion.
