Marquette Area Public Schools Calendar 2026-2027

Marquette Area Public Schools has a clear citywide progression. Four elementary schools feed Bothwell Middle School and then Marquette Senior High School, giving the district one shared secondary community after the neighborhood elementary years.

Marquette Alternative High School offers a separate, smaller completion environment for students whose needs are not well served by the comprehensive schedule. Its role is to preserve a supported route to graduation, not to form another attendance-area high-school community.

GED and Community Education extend the district beyond enrolled K–12 students. Adults and returning learners can work toward equivalency, completion, or other educational goals through services that operate separately from Marquette Senior High School. The district's structure is therefore compact but not one-dimensional. Most students follow the common Bothwell–Marquette Senior High route, while alternative high school and community education protect different entry points into diploma or equivalency work. That separation gives families clarity without forcing every learner into the same daily schedule.
