Huron Valley Schools Calendar 2026-2027

Huron Valley Schools serves a large geographic area through eight elementary schools, two middle schools, and two traditional high-school communities. Lakeland High School and Milford High School anchor the main attendance-area routes, allowing students to retain a community identity while sharing districtwide academic, career, arts, athletic, and support resources.

The high-school portfolio also includes two specialized settings with very different purposes. Harbor High School provides an alternative environment for students who need a smaller, more individualized route toward a diploma. International Academy-West is part of a regional International Baccalaureate consortium and uses selective admissions for students pursuing a demanding international academic framework.

These settings should not be treated as a third and fourth ordinary high-school attendance area. Harbor responds to learning environment and completion needs; International Academy-West is an application-based advanced academic program. Adult education extends the district’s services beyond the conventional school-age sequence for learners returning to diploma, equivalency, language, or skill-building work.

Huron Valley rests on two community comprehensive routes with specialized branches layered above them. Families need to distinguish address assignment, alternative placement, consortium admission, and adult-program eligibility because each leads to a different kind of educational relationship with the district.
