Bedford Public Schools Calendar 2027-2028

Bedford Public Schools has one shared secondary spine. Students from Douglas Road, Jackman Road, and Monroe Road elementary schools meet at Bedford Junior High School and then continue to Bedford High School. The district has no parallel middle or comprehensive high school, so most variation is created through programs and schedules inside those two campuses.

Bedford High is where the district’s career identity becomes most visible. The district describes thirteen career and technical pathways, and its own high school houses programs in fields such as automotive technology, construction, machine technology, computer technology, drafting, broadcasting, business, and family and consumer science. Many students can connect those courses with college credit or an industry-recognized credential while still participating in the academic, arts, and extracurricular life of the comprehensive high school.

Virtual learning adds a continuum of schedule choices. Bedford Virtual Academy students may complete a full online program or add a single online course. At the junior-high level, a hybrid schedule can combine online core work with in-person art, woodshop, band, choir, or orchestra. Bedford concentrates students on one secondary route while still allowing several ways to assemble a daily program.
