Livonia Public Schools Calendar 2026-2027

Livonia Public Schools uses narrow grade bands to organize a large suburban district. Twelve lower-elementary schools serve grades K–4, three upper-elementary schools serve grades 5–6, three middle schools serve grades 7–8, and three comprehensive high schools complete the ordinary sequence. Students change buildings more often than in a K–5 model, but each campus can focus on a smaller developmental span.

Several programs cross that attendance-based structure. Niji-Iro Japanese Immersion Elementary School offers a Japanese-English environment, while Webster's ACAT program serves academically talented students through the elementary and upper-elementary years. A related middle-grade program at Frost extends advanced learning into grades 7–8.

Older students can also use the Livonia Career Technical Center, regional or college-linked study, and district-supported transition services. The postsecondary transition program serves eligible young adults beyond the conventional graduation age, emphasizing employment, independent living, and community participation rather than another high-school diploma route.

Livonia's scale produces both predictable grade-center movement and specialized branches. Address determines the ordinary path, while immersion, advanced learning, technical education, and transition services use separate placement or eligibility rules.
